Over the years, ABIWT at Purdue University has boasted a diverse membership. Talented students from disciplines ranging from Health Sciences to Electrical Engineering have worked together to create unique products and services that have impacted the local community. Current Work and Projects

Females in Technology (F.I.T.)
Start Date: Spring 2005
Anticipated Completion: Spring 2008
The F.I.T. team is currently developing an accessory for teenage girls that will ignite interest in engineering and technology. The product we are developing is the next generation of the friendship bracelet, an electric circuit that illuminates when its match is within about three feet. In addition to the circuit, the team is also developing a website that can be used as a networking tool for girls to learn about emerging technologies, communicate with other girls, and express their creativity. We will also upload our previously developed computer games onto the website. Check back for future updates.

Start Date: Fall 2005
Anticipated Completion: Demo - Spring 2007
The project is currently transitioning from the detailed design phase to the production phase. The game content is being finalized, and 3D screenshots are being made to gain further understanding of 3D game production. The current goal of the project is to produce a Flash demo of the game, to be tested by the team and shown to workshop groups for feedback. The group then plans on attempting to create connections outside of EPICS in order to finalize the game, if at all possible. The team is also entering the Purdue local Idea-to-Product (I2P) competition on February 24th. (Description updated February 22, 2007)

ABIWT conducts several workshops each semester at the Lafayette Urban Ministry where children get a chance to interact with the team, and more importantly with computers, technology, and our fabulous array of games!

Games/Applications

	MASH Want to know about your future? Play our MASH game! Find out if you will live in a mansion, apartment, shack or house. You can even find out who you'll marry, where you'll go to college, and more! The new and improved version even gives you the option of creating your own game. MASH is especially fun to play with friends. Download
	PC Diary Keep your own secret electronic diaries on your home PC! Make a password, so only you can access what's inside. Not only can you add entries in by typing them in, but you can personalize them with pictures and drawings. You can even record voice entries or video diary entries with a microphone and web camera! 	Periodic Table The Periodic Table is a fun educational game. Learn about atomic numbers and weights for each element and also discover cool, fun information. The Periodic Table comes with two exciting games that test your knowledge. It's a great way to learn and have fun at the same time! Download (requires MS Access)
	Genie Lamp Have a question that's been bugging you? Ask the Magic Genie Lamp! It has all the answers! Just type in your question and you will hear a magical sound as your answer appears in the smoke. For example, if you want to know if that certain boy likes you, ask the genie! The genie lamp is especially fun to play with friends. Download
	Toby and Ears Trivia Challenge Think you know a lot? This game lets you prove it. And, don’t cheat by chatting with your friends using the built-in chat! Download
	Balloon Blast Save the balloons! Balloon Blast is word guessing game. Your job is to figure out a word from a category by entering letters. When you enter a wrong letter, a balloon will pop.
