Elsie Eaves  Elsie was the first woman to gain an honorary lifetime membership to the American Society of Civil Engineers for her accomplishments.  She was born in Idaho Springs, Colorado.

Florence Sabin  Florence was the first woman to graduate from John Hopkins Medical School.
